DESIGN OF UNCONVENTIONAL MOTORBIKE:

These pictures show a few design examples exploring sectors which represent the future in the motorbike development. The aims we want to achieve are those of better handling, smoother driving, as well as eliminate all the typical faults in the past production in this particular sector. As a matter of fact those products have represented a development in the fields they wanted to improve but unfortunately did not consider that the pilot had an experience only with conventional motorbikes. Moreover, as for the pilot, also the tyres have the same particular fault: they have been developed for conventional motorbikes. Hence a series of anomalies causing poor feeling with the front wheel also due to the fact that between tyre and handlebar there are ties, connecting rods, etc…

Consider the 2 cylinder V 90° disposition with only one pin for the connecting rods as the best and having a DUCATI motor, we started with this one but at a certain moment we went on exploring (for the pleasure of doing so), and because the expert had noticed some "discrepancies". In order to get to an interesting result you should think about a motor being integral part of the project. Or else have a more favorable motor disposition as the one you find in the images of "conventional motorbike".

Of course what you see here is just a humble contribution, a reflection on what can be an interesting exploring: in this sector hardly anybody can pontificate.

Any suggestion here or on the whole site will be welcome.

DESIGN OF CONVENTIONAL MOTORBIKE:

Here are some pictures of a possible motorbike development consistent with firm design criteria.

In order to reduce the axis base without penalizing the fork length, we are studying the disposition of both a V 90° and V 60° motor, as well as intermediate angles.

The advantages and disadvantages of the several possibilities partly balance out and we are studying a new transmission parts disposition.
